LATE FEES

The Act contains a number of statutorily defined late fees for various filings.

Failure to file/ Late filed Campaign Contribution Disclosure Report FOR CANDIDATES, COMMITTEES, PUBLIC OFFICERS

The statute permits a 5 day grace period for filing CCDRs
6-14 days late = $125 late fee
15-44 days late = $250 late fee
45+ days late = $1000 late fee

Failure to file/ Late filed Personal Financial Disclosure: FOR PUBLIC OFFICERS, CANDIDATES

1-14 days late = $125 late fee
15-44 days late = $250 late fee
45+ days late = $1000 late fee

 Lobbyist Reports: FOR LOBBYISTS

As of 3/2011, the statute permits a 3 day grace period for filing Lobbyist Reports
During the legislative session:

4-6 days late = $275 late fee
7-20 days late = $1000 late fee
21+ days late = $10,000 late fee
When the legislature is not in session:
4-14 days late = $275 late fee
15-44 days late= $1000 late fee
45+ days late = $10,000 late fee
