The Commission is very grateful to both the House and the Senate for providing much needed clarification in this very important ethics legislation. We appreciate the speed and efficiency the General Assembly has shown in protecting the rights of individuals to petition their government.

We recognize that HB232 places additional responsibilities on the Campaign Finance Commission. Over the next few days our staff will continue to analyze the impact these new mandates will have on our budget. Once this review is complete, we will report back to the General Assembly and to the citizens of Georgia the fiscal impact of these new policies.
